London’s South Bank played host to journalists from major news outlets as Bridgestone introduced its Worldwide Olympic Partnership and launched the UK Chase Your Dream, No Matter What campaign on 16th March.
Host for the day, Dan Walker, introduced Bridgestone’s Managing Director Robin Shaw who was joined on stage by Tim Ellerton of Team GB to endorse the Partnership prior to the much-anticipated reveal of the UK’s three Chase Your Dream, No Matter What Ambassadors.
Bridgestone’s new emotive campaign aims to celebrate the spirit of perseverance demonstrated by everyday fighters and battlers. By sharing the stories of Olympic heroes, Bridgestone aims to inspire people everywhere to overcome obstacles and stay the course, to reach their personal goals.
One by one, Bridgestone’s ambassadors – Daley Thompson, Charley Hull and Chris Mears – were introduced. Each athlete watched their inspirational video live on stage, prior to a conversation about their respective careers and challenges – revealing emotional and humorous insights into the Olympic ambassadors’ lives.

Charley Hull’s story was further endorsed by Bridgestone’s partners from England Golf and the European Tour, whose representatives Nick Pink and Nathan Homer backed the young golfer as an inspiration for club golfers entering the new Chase Your Dream Trophy.
The conference, and the ambassadors’ inspirational video stories, were streamed live to Bridgestone’s UK facilities, where employees celebrated the announcement, as well as 86,000 viewers on Facebook Live.
A prestigious venue to launch the Chase Your Dream, No Matter What campaign
With news of Bridgestone’s Worldwide Olympic Partnership spreading fast, the Chase Your Dream, No Matter What website (www.nomatterwhat.uk.com) went live, showcasing the videos and achievements of Daley Thompson, Charley Hull and Chris Mears and offering the opportunity for members of the public to get involved by submitting their own dreams – two of which will be selected to be brought to life.
