Bridgestone offering the ultimate experience!

01 March 2016

Bridgestone has created an unprecedented ‘experience’ for its customers to enjoy for the first time, featuring a luxury break in a stunning rural retreat, spa treatments, sporting activities and an ultimate off-road biking venue high in the Welsh mountains.

The world’s largest tyre manufacturer is unveiling its ‘Bridgestone Experience Centre’ for motorists to make the most of, either through sales incentives when they purchase Bridgestone tyres or through social networking giveaways on its Facebook and Twitter platforms.

The Lake Vyrnwy Hotel in Montgomeryshire forms the heart of the Bridgestone Experience Centre, with canoeing, golf and mountain biking just some of the activities promised to befit Bridgestone’s premium tyre standing.

And in a jewel in the crown for Bridgestone, the company has partnered with a seven time Dakar Rally competitor to create the ‘Mick Extance Experience Centre’ in the hills of LLangynog, Mid Wales.

Bridgestone’s quarter one sales and marketing meeting took place at the Lake Vyrnwy Hotel recently, allowing colleagues to appreciate the facilities on offer for ‘The Boss’, before two consecutive media days were staged at the Mick Extance Experience Centre for journalists to get to grips with.

Bridgestone not only hopes to showcase the qualities of its BATTLECROSS motocross range to thousands of visitors over the course of each year, but also create a reputation for the attraction as being on a par with the very best outdoor track-day destinations in the UK.

The exhilarating off-road conditions are not on public highways, meaning that a UK licence is not needed.

Bridgestone’s training and sales development manager Mark Fereday said the Bridgestone Experience Centre would separate the company from its competitors, with no rival sales promotions or competitions on a par with this.

He said: “The potential for the Bridgestone Experience Centre is absolutely huge. Some manufacturers offer standard prizes like a television or free fuel vouchers, but we wanted to create something with way more longevity, whilst underlining our status as a quality, premium company.

“Bridgestone is always looking at innovative ways to interact with motorists. This facility allows us to do precisely that, whilst leaving a memorable impression on everyone who comes to visit.

“We boast a range of premium bike products too and we think that the Mick Extance Experience Centre is a fitting environment in which to promote them.”

Bridgestone’s X20, X30 and X40 products represent the company’s most advanced motocross technology yet, helping to provide superior grip, speed and control across any terrain.

They complement a range of Honda Enduro bikes to offer an unrivalled performance, according to Mick.

He said: “The Bridgestone BATTLECROSS range is up there with the best tyres I have ever ridden on.  They are so much more stable and the key is, you can change your line quicker. This makes a big, big difference.

“You can come into the off-camber corners with so much more confidence. It doesn’t slide or fold and on a scale of one to 10, I honestly would give Bridgestone a 10.”
